Education

It is the mission of the Pueblo of Sandia Education Department to anticipate and understand the full range of traditional and contemporary educational needs of the community it serves.  The education program will employ all the organizational, intellectual and financial resources available toward meeting these needs. Planning for , providing, and evaluating educational opportunities that value the pueblo’s cultural history and its future will be paramount.

The Department of Education provides direct service to the Pueblo of Sandia and in some cases to Tribal administration employees through 6 distinctive programs:

• Child Development
• Language and Culture program
• Tribal Public Library
• Wellness Center
• Diabetes program
• Scholarship program
  

Child Development Center is open from 7am- 6 pm Monday –Friday
Tribal Public Library (Learning Resource Center) 8-5 Monday –Friday
Wellness Center 6am- 8pm Monday- Thursday, 7am-8pm Friday
and 8am-3pm Saturday
