Thank you for visiting the Sandia Lakes Web site. Sandia Lakes has been in the present location for over 3 decades. Owned and operated by the Pueblo of Sandia. We are on 56 acres of bosque land and over 20 of those are water. There are three fishing lakes, numerous shade structures, clean modern restrooms, handicapped accessible facilities, and concrete sidewalks surround each pond. Sandia Lakes staff takes pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of their grounds and facilities.

Sandia Lakes is home to two species of fish. Rainbow trout are stocked from October thru April and range in size from 10" to 14". We stock Channel Cat Fish starting in May and they run through September. Their average size is 1.5 lbs.

This year we've add a new twist to our fishing program. If you're more interested in the Sport of fishing then we have the ticket. Now, you can choose between catch & release on lake #3 or the harvesting of trout on lakes #1 & #2. This program is unique to Sandia Lakes and Albuquerque, lake #3 will retain some of our largest fish.
